Founded by experienced entrepreneurs Matt Silver (second-time founder/CEO after a successful exit and long-time freight veteran) and Rylan Hawkins (CTO, Ex-Convoy, Ex-Microsoft, and previous founder).
Mexico has recently taken over the #1 spot as the United States’ leading trading partner. Laredo, TX is the number one port in the United States importing and exporting everything we need and use everyday. The need for simplifying the complexities of freight moving across the border, creating a more reliable and connected supply chain has never been greater. We have raised nearly $10M in venture capital so far and are backed by several supply chain-focused venture capital firms, including Primary Venture Partners, Ironspring Ventures, Zenda Capital, Wischoff Ventures, Sahil Bloom, and a few dozen entrepreneurs in logistics and technology.
About the roleWe’re looking for a Border Partnerships Manager to build and expand our relationships across the freight industry with a specific focus on the McAllen and Reynosa markets.
What you’ll doBuild strong relationships with trucking companies, freight brokerages, and customs brokerages in key markets
Be the go-to for all platform engagement and user growth including getting new companies excited and onboarded and ensuring existing customers are getting the most out of Cargado
Be the first point of contact for customer feedback and collaborate closely with the Cargado product and engineering teams to incorporate critical user feedback
Represent Cargado and be the face of the company both at the border and in key Mexican markets
Participate in industry events to evangelize and promote Cargado
5+ years of experience in the freight industry, with experience specifically in cross-border freight between the US and Mexico
Experience in a business development or customer success capacity, building and growing relationships
Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish
Strong preference for candidates with existing relationships in the the McAllen, Texas and Reynosa, Mexico markets.
