TITLE: Certified Sterile Processor

LOCATION: Detroit, MI (Onsite)

SCHEDULE: Shifts can be flexible, likely 7-4. 40 hrs/week, 5 days/week, and 8 hrs/day.

PAY: $20.00 - $28.00 Hour DOE

This is the pay range that BAHAMA Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position.

SUMMARY: The Central Sterile Processing Technician provides sterile products & instruments to all members of the health care team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviewing and interpreting written instructions to determine which sterilization method.
• Cleaning, packaging, and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.
• Inspecting and assembling instruments, equipment, and trays.
• Monitoring and operating sterilization equipment.
• Responding to emergency supply requests during surgical procedures.
• Maintaining accurate records of when items undergo sterilization.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or equivalent education – Required
• Completion of an appropriate Aide training program, a Central Technician program or 6 months previous experience in Central Supply – Required
• Ability to exercise tact and discretion NICHSPDP Certification is required as a qualification for a CSP Tech position.
