Disney has explored new worlds through magical storytelling since its first completely live-action film, Treasure Island in 1950. Across pirate-laden high-seas or down a mysterious rabbit hole, Disney's collaborations with renowned artists and filmmakers has produced some of the most successful live-action family films in history, including Disney's Alice in Wonderland, the Pirates of the Caribbean films, The Jungle Book, Cinderella, and Beauty & The Beast, with more extraordinary stories on the horizon.
Responsibilities: - Support post production executive through answering and screening phones, scheduling appointments, and managing contacts.
- Manage executive travel and expense reports.
- Create and schedule conference calls with production and studio personnel through various stages of production.
- Collaborate with various departments to create dailies workflow documents.
- Develop potential editors' lists for shows in pre-production.
- Act as the day-to-day liaison/first point of contact for Editorial and Post on all shows.
- Set up Editorial teams with application accounts and monitor access for the duration of the show.
- Locate, engage and set up Editorial offices for each show.
- Solicit and negotiate avid rental bids.
- Work with production crew to arrange shipments for editorial in distant locations.
- Assist VP in creating post editorial plans and post calendars.
- Create and manage purchase orders.
- Schedule, organize, set up executive and preview screenings (booking security, projection engineering, entering into our global screening system, etc.).
- Facilitate delivery of features including QC and approving masters.
- Working with the studio distribution team to make sure their needs are met to ensure a timely release.
Basic Qualifications: - 2+ years solid working knowledge of post-production operations.
- Familiarity with physical production or previous Studio production experience helpful.
- Familiarity with post budgets and costs as well as post calendars and applications.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and organize multiple projects, with excellent follow through.
- Proactive self-starter with consistent follow through.
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to interface with 3rd party vendors, internal executives and staff in a collaborative and problem-solving fashion.
- A strong customer service orientation with ability to anticipate and resolve routine questions or issues while still keeping senior executive aware of project status.
- Knowledge of purchase orders and expense reports.
- Must be available to work onsite 4 (Monday-Thursday). Fridays are remote, with flexibility to work onsite as needed.
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, California is $51,300.00 to $66,300.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
