Job Description

As a System Software Validation Engineer, you will work on one of the most advanced SSD technology portfolios in the word. In this position you will be part of a word-class team validating leading products in the SSD industry. You will utilize and grow your experience in firmware validation by designing and implementing test plans, by running and monitoring executions to make sure the firmware is working based on industry specifications, customer requirements and as well as our own innovations until the end of life of our products. You will use and gain experience in storage interface standards such as PCIe, and NVMe. Since you will be working with global teams, excellent communication skill and the ability to work closely with team members, both locally and across the organization is required.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Triage and debug integration testing failures in various validation or qualification environments.
  • Drive closure of product and third-party defects with various internal and external teams.
  • Work with teams across the organization to improve triage and debug capabilities and methodologies.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed below would be obtained through a combination of schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Intermediate to advance English level.
  • 3+ years of experience in the following areas:
    • Developing and empowering technicians.
    • Software development or scripting experience (Python, Bash/Shell)
    • Testing or validation environments executing white or black box testing.
    • Triaging and debugging hardware or software issues in Linux and Windows environments.
    • MSFT package usage (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) to present or analyze data.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in the following areas:
    • Test planning and control based on stakeholder's requirements.
    • Planning and preparing test environments in coordination with internal and external teams.
    • Implementation and execution of test plans.
    • Triaging, debugging, and reporting issues.
    • Reporting execution status to stakeholders.
    • Aligning expectations with stakeholders.
    • Firmware validation is a plus.
  • Experience with industry specifications such as PCIe, NVMe, OCP, OPAL is a big plus.

Additional Information

For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $113,500 to $178,690. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
